The vote will open just after the match (Wednesday, 9.30 pm). Anyone who wants to play next week should vote by Wednesday, 11.59 pm. If there are more than 20 players, the committee will publish a 20-player list by Thursday, 5.00 pm. Others who voted before the deadline (if applicable; 21st players onward) will be in the rotational list. It does not matter who voted first as long as they expressed their interest within the deadline.
Anyone who misses the deadline for voting can still vote, but will be placed on the waiting list. Anyone can put their name on the waiting list until the game begins.
The payment deadline for included players (published by the committee, not in waiting list or not in rotational list) is Friday, 5 pm.
If any payment from any of the included players is not received by Friday, 5 pm, the committee will decide the player's name who will take the spot and announce the players list for the next match or they will announce the spot availability after Friday, 5 pm. Then anyone (main list/ waiting list/ rotational list) who pays first/ or says "in" or says "paid-carry over" will get the opportunity to play. No one can say "in" or "paid-carry over" or pay on behalf of main list players who missed the payment deadline (unless someone is not in the group). Please see FAQ 3 for policy reagrding the on-behalf payment for rotational list players or waiting list players.
If anyone drops after payment at any time for any reason, his fee will only carry over if we have 20 players AND a replacement is found. Fees are forfeited on two occasions: i) no replacement is found, and ii) even if a replacement is found, but we do not fill 20 players.
Advance payment does not guarantee a spot. You still have to vote or say "in" or "paid" or "paid-carry forward", whatever is applicable or get the committee's approval.
The players who volunteer for the logistics team will get priority in booking. They will not be subject to the rotational policy for the particular month they volunteer (effective from 2 April 2025 until further notice). Committee members are excluded from the rotational policy to ensure the weekly matches run smoothly.
Rotational List: The committee will announce the names of players on the rotational list. If more than 20 players are voted for the weekly matches, the committee will prioritise those who frequently participate, have fewer dropouts, and adhere to the Eagles' guidelines. Players may be listed on the rotational list for multiple consecutive weeks if we have more than 20 committed players. Players who vote for the match and later drop out or fail to make payment by the deadline will reduce their chances of being selected for future matches.
The committee has the authority to modify any of the policies to ensure matches run smoothly or to address various situations.
Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
1. I voted before Wednesday, 11.59 pm and placed in rotational list. When someone drops out of the announced team, should I be given priority over waiting list players?
Answer: We appreciate for timely voting. However, voting before the deadline does not give anyone a granted advantage over waiting list players. Some players are placed in the waiting list just because they simply forgot. For example, person X voted at 12.30 pm. Waiting list players loses their chances to be in the team in the first chance. Moreover, being in waiting list does not count towards serving rotational list. On the other hand, who votes before the deadline , is included unless serves rotational. Therefore, rotational players and waiting list players are treated same when someone drops from the main list. Until now, rotational list players never enjoyed advantages over waiting list players in terms of filling up a spot that became available, and it will remain the same until there are enough reasons to change and have the capacity of the committee to implement.
2. I was included in the main list. However, I forgot to pay, and someone paid on behalf of me . Would you accept?
Answer: If the "on-behalf" payment is made before the deadline, we would accept. However, if it is after the deadline , we would not accept (as you or your on-behalf have already got 24 hours, and therefore, no exception or excuse; we enocurage payment when you see the list to avoid disappointment). We would not accept on behalf call ("in" or "carry-forward") or payment for main list players who missed the payment deadline.
3. I was in the rotational or waiting list. Can someone say "In" or "pay" on behalf of me?
Answer: We totallly understand your concern that someone may be busy between 5.00 pm and 5.30 pm. The current policy is that the interested person has to say "in" or "paid" or "paid-carry forward" by himself. However, if someone informs us in advance, then we may consider. Please note that advance payment does not gurantee your place. You still have to mention "in" or "paid" or "paid-carry forward".
